Black Silver Phenotype

A horse with the Black-Silver phenotype, is a base colored black horse with a silver dilution. The Silver dilution in a black horse results in a chocolate colored body. It also results in lightening of the mane and tail to either a flaxen or silver-grey color.
This color is most common in Rocky Mountain horses, Shetland ponies, Icelandic horses, and Morgan horses but can be found in nearly any breed.
